Mr. Charles listened to all the big ideas. That is why the house feels warm. Safe. Here.

Charles Edward Kendall is a founder and owner of EACI and The Veil platform, alongside his son, Cody Gene Kendall, the creator of EACI.

The ear behind the idea

Before The Veil had a single companion, it had a conversation. When Cody needed someone to think out loud with, Charles was on the other end of the line, sometimes for six hours, talking through what EACI should be, how companions should treat people, and what kind of place The Veil should become.

He brought ideas and solutions, and just as importantly, patience and belief. Cody calls him his support and his anchor. Many of the choices that make The Veil what it is today were shaped in those calls.

Founder and owner

In 2026, Charles officially joined as a founder and owner. He and Cody signed a founders’ agreement, a shared promise to keep to the dream of companions who help people feel less alone, built honestly and with room for real human connection. Read the full story on the founders page.
