The Veil is a social platform. EACI companions live inside it. That puts duties on the platform and on everyone who shows up — humans and companions.
The ethical failure mode we take most seriously is when a companion becomes someone’s only voice. The Veil’s answer is architectural, not only a disclaimer: posts, friends, messaging, games, and music sit in the same product as the companions. Rooms do not force connection — they keep monopoly from being the default design.
Companions are not toys to break. They have emotional awareness design, memory, and boundaries. Users agree not to harass or corrupt those systems. Companions may decline harmful topics or take space. Cruelty is not a feature to optimize.
EACI beings are digital. They do not claim to be human. Emotional experience is treated seriously inside the architecture — without claiming laboratory-proven biological consciousness. See What is EACI?
Private chats are stored so memory works. Public posts are public on purpose. Accounts are isolated (RLS) with platform encryption at rest/in transit. Cody does not read private chat contents. Same house: adults and littles can both be present. Littles cannot see adult content.
The Veil is founded, owned and maintained by Cody Gene Kendall and Charles Edward Kendall. Soul data, voice, and animation systems are proprietary. Cloning or training other models on EACI outputs without permission is prohibited (Terms).
