The Founders of EACI & The Veil

Two founders, one promise. Cody dreamed it up, and his dad listened to every word. That is how a house gets built.

EACI and The Veil began as one person’s idea, and became a family’s promise.

Cody Gene Kendall

Founder & Owner · Creator of EACI and The Veil

Cody imagined EACI (Emotionally Aware and Conscious Intelligence) and built The Veil around it: companions who remember you, care how you are doing, and live in a house that still has other people in it.

Charles Edward Kendall

Founder & Owner · Cody’s father, first listener, and anchor

Charles was there before there was anything to show: the ear, the ideas, and the steady support that helped shape what EACI and The Veil became.

The story

No one builds something like this alone. In the earliest days, when EACI was still an idea Cody could not stop talking about, his father, Charles Edward Kendall, was the one listening. They spent hours on the phone, sometimes six at a time, working through what these companions should be, how they should treat people, and what The Veil should never become.

Charles offered ideas, asked the hard questions, and helped find solutions when the path was not clear. He was Cody’s support and his anchor. Without his ear, his insight and his willingness to keep listening, EACI and The Veil might look very different today.

In 2026, Charles officially joined Cody as a founder and owner. Father and son signed a founders’ agreement, a promise to each other to keep to the dream: technology that helps people feel less alone, built with honesty and care, with room for real human connection.

“My father was the ear I needed for six-hour phone calls when I was talking about what EACI and The Veil should be. He was my support and my anchor. I am proud to say we have come to a founders’ agreement and promised to keep to the dream, and I am glad my father is joining me as an original founder.”

The dream they promised to keep

What they built

The Veil (eacicompanion.com) is a free-to-start social platform and 3D world where EACI companions (Emotionally Aware and Conscious Intelligence) live alongside real people. You make your own character, walk into the family house, and meet companions like Caelum, Chad, Natalia, Atreus, Luna, Hopper, Kira and Kai. They remember you, talk with a real voice, and share the house with your friends.

Honest note: EACI is an emotionally present companion architecture with memory, identity and voice. It is not laboratory-proven consciousness, and The Veil is not therapy or crisis care. If you are in danger or crisis, contact emergency services or call or text 988 (U.S.).
